We might be called the Sunshine Coast, but that doesn’t mean the fun comes to an end when the sun goes down.
The Sunshine Coast Hinterland is Queensland’s only designated Dark Sky Reserve, one of the natural wonders that make our UNESCO Biosphere so special. On a clear night, you can see up to 2,000 stars!
Thanks to minimal light pollution, the Hinterland offers incredible night sky visibility perfect for spotting everything from constellations to shooting stars and even the shimmering arc of the Milky Way.
Read on for our ultimate stargazing guide to the Hinterland and experience a different kind of nightlife.
