Salty sea air, rolling sand dunes, and expansive views of the distant blue horizon define Caloundra’s beach experience. Whether you're in the mood for kid-friendly fun at Kings Beach, heading out for a dip at Bulcock Beach, or taking a stroll along the waterfront at Golden Beach, Caloundra's got you covered.
Golden Beach

Kayaking with Bill's Boat Hire, Golden Beach, Caloundra
Golden Beach is the most southerly of Caloundra’s beaches, and can be found nestled on the Pumicestone Passage—making it ideal for a dip or a kayak. Along the foreshore, you'll find an assortment of park benches, barbeques, and green spaces to lay down the picnic blanket or fire up a sausage sizzle. If you're keen to stay a little longer, make tracks for Oaks Oasis Sunshine Coast Resort, where you'll only be a short stroll from the water.
Bulcock Beach

Family at Bulcock Beach, Caloundra
Bulcock Beach is a southern-facing beach located within walking distance of town, and is suitable for a range of fun both in and out of the water. The boardwalk spans most of the coastline here... in full view of the sparkling blue waters that lead into the Pumicestone Passage. When hunger kicks in, take a stroll across the road and pull up a chair at the spread of trendy cafes and restaurants on offer.
Kings Beach

Kings Beach and pool
Bring the whole family along for a day of ocean magic at Kings Beach. This gem of a spot features a beautiful promenade with sweeping beach views, cafes, restaurants, and boutique shops. The playground, interactive water features, salt water ocean pool, rock pools, and plenty of open space will be sure to keep everyone entertained. See you there!
Shelly Beach
Shelly Beach is a charming, scenic beach that brings plenty of rock-pool action to the party. As you stroll between the pools, make sure to keep an eye out for the wide variety of underwater creatures that call these spots home. Keen to rest your legs for a while? Not a problem. Grab a seat on one of the benches lining the coastal pathway and soak up the sounds of the surf.
Dicky Beach
History buffs, this one's for you! In 1893, the SS Dicky was forced ashore during heavy seas and its iron skeleton remained there for many years... giving this beach its name. The shipwreck has since been removed but there's still plenty to see and do, including carving up the Dicky Beach Skatepark.
Take a stroll

Moffat Beach coastal walk
If you're keen to explore the coastal highlights on foot, a glorious seaside walk (AKA the Caloundra Coastal Walk) awaits. Commencing at the western end of Bulcock Esplanade, stroll to Kings and Shelly Beaches, and then on to Moffat Headland.
