Looking for a holiday spot that will provide endless fun for the whole family? Look no further, you’ll find it in Mooloolaba!

This buzzing coastal town is ideal for a family getaway as it appeals to both kids and adults alike – think kid-friendly beaches, cafes, restaurants and epic attractions.

To make sure your next Mooloolaba family holiday is the most memorable yet, we’ve put together the ultimate three-day guide that will keep you entertained from morning till night.

DAY ONE

AM

A great day starts with a great breakfast, and in Mooloolaba you are spoilt for choice.

Kickstart your Mooloolaba morning with a smooth, strong brew and a bite at The Velo Project, a cool neighbourhood café set in a converted garage with a focus on local produce.

Mid-morning is the perfect time to grab some glorious rays of sun from the sandy shores of Mooloolaba Main Beach.

There is a reason this beach is regularly voted one of the best in Australia in the TripAdvisor Traveller’' Choice Awards. It’s patrolled year-round and its sheltered, north-facing position makes it the best spot for your saltwater fix with the tribe in tow.

No visit to Mooloolaba is complete without a stop at The Surf Club Mooloolaba for lunch. It’s got the ultimate beachfront location and an extensive menu that will please even the fussiest of little eaters.

PM

After a little rest, it’s time to work off lunch and breathe in the glorious salt air on foot or bike.

Walk or hire a bike from ecoTekk Sunshine Coast and head north along the coastal pathway towards Alexandra Headland, stopping to enjoy the new playground at Mooloolaba’s northern parklands.

By now you will be hungry again so make your way down to The Spit for an early meal. Grab some takeaway fish and chips from one of the many fish and chipperies you’ll find here – such as Mooloolah River Fisheries - and enjoy a picnic on the beach for dinner while watching the sun go down. Bliss.

You can sleep deeply at Mantra Mooloolaba Beach Resort, located right on the Esplanade or take advantage of the great facilities including a heated pool with a waterfall and spa, mini golf, gym and barbecue entertainment at Nautilus Mooloolaba.

DAY TWO

AM

Another day means you get to try another brekkie spot! And for day two, we suggest taking a seat at Pavilion Mooloolaba.

If the kids are over 10, they can join you for the ride of your life aboard this custom-built boat as you explore Mooloolaba and Mudjimba with expert skippers – just don’t forget to hold on tight!

Just steps from Mooloolaba beach, everyone can refuel at The Dock for lunch. With a pub vibe and waterfront views, the menu will keep the kids happy while you taste some local craft beers.

PM

With full bellies, stick around the revamped Mooloolaba Wharf Precinct to hit up SEA LIFE Sunshine Coast, a much-loved aquarium and home to thousands of marine and freshwater animals.

The kids will be in their element with the interactive touch pool display, Little Blue Penguins zone and 80m-long Ocean Tunnel where you can walk beneath sharks, rays and reef fish. Don’t forget to stop at Seal Island for daily presentations with the playful locals.

Before a rest, keep the energy levels up with a stop at Kenilworth Coastal Bakery – the seaside outpost of the Sunshine Coast icon Kenilworth Country Bakery - for some of the most decadent takeaway donuts you will ever taste.

After some chill time at your accommodation, book in to enjoy your last night at local Italian dining spot: Augellos.

Located right on the esplanade, it’s the perfect spot for people watching and sensational pizza.
