Rush to the Rattler
Mark your calendars for Sunday, 13 October and get ready for an exciting day of fitness, fun, and community spirit with the Gympie Lions' first-ever Rush to the Rattler event! Whether you're a seasoned runner or just want to enjoy a morning walk with family and friends, this event has something for everyone. Time: Check-in starts at 6.00am, event kicks off at 7.00am Location: Start at the Gold Mining Museum and finish at the historic Gympie Station on Tozer Street Choose from 7.06 km run or 3 km walk After you cross the finish line, reward yourself with a mouth-watering sausage sizzle and celebrate with fellow participants. But the adventure doesn t end there! Jump aboard the iconic Silver Bullet train for a scenic ride back to Monkland Station, followed by a shuttle ride on Lewis the Bus to Light Horse Oval. Be sure to bring a water bottle, sunscreen, and a hat to stay cool and hydrated while enjoying the festivities. Remember, all children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Whether you re running, walking, or cheering from the sidelines, they invite you to be part of this fantastic community event. Let s make the Rush to the Rattler a day to remember!
